Small Gems – The Chevalier Series by Benji Bright

“The fruit of my tree of knowledge is plucked, and it is this: adventures are to the adventurous.” – Benjamin Disraeli

So if you’re feeling particularly adventuresome, Benji Bright is three books into an eight book mini-serial that might be right up your adventure/fantasy alley.

Chevalier: The Weeping Spear, The Salt Rose, and The Selfish Eye are the bait, and the short but intriguing stories are the hook that drew me into the lives of Giovanni Alder-Rabinas, Casic Blanc, and brothers Farrbiner and Solister Gristoli; a mercenary foursome in a world of sorcery and magical curiosities, where betrayal, avarice, and vengeance seem to go hand-in-hand. Or maybe I ought to say sword-in-sheath, as danger seems to be ever lurking nearby.

The series feels a bit like the Musketeers-meet-Alt U, where secrets and alchemy and erotica coalesce, and I have no idea what’s looming on the horizon of this mysterious and mystical realm. This is provocative Saturday Morning Matinee adventure, book-lovers’ style, parceled out in teasing morsels that have left me anxious to see what’s coming next, as an adversary and traitor to the Queen resurfaces, and the hunt for the mercenaries begins.

One thing’s for certain, Benji Bright has got me waiting—patiently or not—for book four next month.

About the Author: My nom de plume is Benji Bright and I’m an erotica writer. I write the kind of smut that I like to read: hot, whimsical, occasionally thoughtful, and sometimes just plain silly. Outside of writing I’m a film buff, a music lover, and an RPG addict. Also I’m a real person: so feel free to contact me at
