A Little Luck And A Little Romance Is What “Learning to Live” Is All About

“If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities.” – Maya Angelou

BLURB: Avery Storey has bought a house in a conscious effort to be more independent. Right before he moves in, the kitchen pipes malfunction. Lucky for him, one of his new neighbors is the same man Avery has begun to warm up to through his teller job. Gratefully, AJ comes to the rescue, because that’s what neighbors do. A little romance blooms between the two men. Unfortunately, AJ blows his chance when he learns Avery is thirteen years his junior. Hurting for the sweet man across the street, he’s forced to face what his life would be like without Avery at all, because being neighbors alone just would not be enough.

Any one of us who own a house can relate to the opening scene of this book. The cramps in your hand, the feeling of signing your life away and the unmitigated happiness of “I really did it”. Avery had a tough childhood and because of that, he was very sheltered and stayed to himself a lot. The result of this is near panic attacks when the center of attention, and the habit of blushing whenever anyone makes eye contact. One of the first people to breach his shyness in many years is one of his customers at the bank, AJ.

AJ owns a contractor type company and banks where Avery works. He is smitten with the beautiful blond teller and lucky for Avery, it just so happens that AJ lives right across the street from his brand new house. When he offers to help Avery out of his flood-like conditions in the kitchen, neither man knew this would be the start of something very special.

As their relationship progresses, Avery gets comfortable enough with AJ that he forgets to be so shy; he starts to get more confident and he starts to fall in love. Unfortunately when AJ finds out that their age difference is more than he thought, he makes the biggest mistake of his life. Not only does he lose the best thing that ever happened to him, but he may have permanently scarred the one man who could have made him happy for the rest of his life.

When AJ finally realizes he made a mistake, circumstances lead him to believe he may be too late. Will he be able to earn back Avery’s trust, or will he have to watch from his front porch as Avery moves on?

Well, I am not going to tell you. lol. You will have to read the book to find out what happens between these two, and believe me you won’t want to miss the hot lovin’ these two get up to while falling for each other.
