No Need To Get All Dressed Up – Just Bring The “Shoes & Ties”

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.” ― Edgar Allan Poe

BLURB: Ashten Brody is a chef fresh out of college. He lands his dream job working as a personal chef to Trent Cole, local luxury hotel owner. As it turns out, Trent is also his dream man.

After working together, the two are unable to deny their attraction. One late night they can’t hold back any longer. Too bad Ashten rushes off soon after.

In the weeks that follow, it appears to Ashten that he has landed his dream man and his dream job. He and Trent appear to be on the path to a serious relationship and life-long happiness. Life seems to be just too perfect…

REVIEW: I was taken in by Ashten and Trent. They were so wrong for each other on paper, but so right for each other in real life.

Ashten is young for the position of personal chef but once Trent Cole reviewed his references, he was convinced to give the man a chance. By chance, Trent and Ashten end up at a charity dinner sharing a table. Trent realizes that he knows Ashten’s family and has worked with them previously on some construction projects.

Even though both men are immediately attracted to one another, they fight that attraction until everything explodes in a night of passion. The two men start a whirlwind relationship that quickly moves into serious feelings on both their parts. But we all know that when things are this easy there has to be a wrench on the way.

The first clue all isn’t well is when Ashten finds all four of his tires slashed, but he is able to explain it away. Eventually, Trent’s past comes a-callin’ and Ashten is the one to suffer the consequences. Will their new relationship be strong enough to weather the storm? You will have to read it to find out!

I really liked the way these two men meshed. Trent’s stuffy, buttoned up persona, combined with Ashten’s happy go lucky food snob, was hilarious. I almost fell out of my chair when Trent asked Ashten to make hot dogs! There were some very tender moments, some laugh out loud moments, and some wildly tense moments that had me chewing on my nails.

This is a great, quick read and very entertaining. Highly recommend this one.
