Love Gets A “Change of Fortune” This Christmas

“It was love at first sight, at last sight, at ever and ever sight.” ― Vladimir Nabokov

When Tomoki got his fortune he didn’t believe it really meant he would find love, but boy was he ever wrong. When he returns home he meets Alex, and over the course of a year we follow the ups and downs of a popular rock star dating a simple, down to earth mechanic. It was a wonderfully warm story of give and take that led to true love.

As with most relationships, there were some rough spots and their defining moment came along with the next New Year’s celebration. Tomoki found himself in Japan again, questioning his and Alex’s relationship. With a new fortune and one huge romantic gesture, things may just work out.

I honestly can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this story. When the story started out with New Year’s in Japan, it brought back memories of the two years I spent in there. Even if you don’t practice their religion, going to the temple is a seriously magical experience and the author got that across well.

I found myself smiling a lot while reading this and maybe even shedding a tear or two. Highly recommend this story, it could be just the thing to put you in the holiday spirit.
