The Year In Reviews

Happy New Year!

As we say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all the very best. The close of the year always comes with no small amount of reflecting upon where we’ve been and a generous helping of hope for where we’ll go in 2015, and it’s my hope that when you look back over the past twelve months, you’ll see far more joy than sorrow in its reflection.

Through our losses and gains, the good times and the bad, we have created a global family here, bound together by our love of reading, through the belief that love is love and that the heart has no gender. Together, as friends, allies, partners and members of this community, we can be the change we wish to create, and it is my hope that together we will continue to celebrate each victory of love over hate, just as we mourn the loss of every LGBTQ child whose despair has robbed them of a future. May we always strive together to make the world a more accepting place for our children to live.

Within the pages of books, we open ourselves up to a world without borders and live beyond the boundaries of imagination. Through the written (and spoken) word of fiction, our perspectives are broadened and our minds opened to a greater understanding of the human condition, and we are drawn together by that empathy. We here at The Novel Approach look forward in 2015 to celebrating and sharing the joy of reading with you, to being a positive force in this community, and to continuing to foster the belief that love doesn’t come with exceptions and conditions.

Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year from our family to you and yours!
