Hello! I’m very excited to be here on the blog today. My name is Christine d’Abo and I write erotic romance, both m/f and m/m. I’m super excited to be here today to talk to you about my holiday novella, Rebound Remedy.
When Cole gets dumped before Christmas, Owen decides he wants to take him out to cheer him up by doing a number of different holiday activities. Between skating, Christmas tree hunting, hot chocolate drinking…and some sexy fun times, Owen keeps him busy.
This is the time of year when a lot of us get out there and do things that are out of the norm. We have fun, go outside, spend time with family and friends and generally enjoy the season. There are things that I do with my family on an annual basis, some of which made their way into Cole and Owen’s story.
Christmas Tree Hunting. This was the highlight of the year for me when I was a kid. There were a group of families who would get together and make this a big day. We’d find the trees and then go back to someone’s house to have hot chocolate and cookies. We’d then make wreaths out of the bows that we found on the ground. It was awesome and made me look forward to that weekend every year.
Outside Skating. Cole and Owen live in Toronto. The city is just one where you can skate outside in a public venue. There’s something special about being out in the cold in the middle of a city or town skating. The lights and sometimes music are fun to experience. Growing up, my small town only had an arena, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. The hours I spent skating with friends and family were some of the best.
Holiday Lights. Though not in the novella, a tradition that my family still has a lot of fun with is something called the Festival of Lights. Every year our local park decorates the trees with an amazing array of Christmas lights and opens the park at night for trolley tours. Walking through in the dark with my husband is an amazing experience that I love. Funny how the cold bugs me every day, except when I’m out with him.
These are just a few of the things we enjoy. What are some of the things you and your family do over the holidays?

About Rebound Remedy: The last thing Cole expects to get for the holidays is dumped. But there he is, in the airport on his way to Banff for a romantic getaway, helplessly watching as his boyfriend’s ex declares undying love, proposes—and is accepted. With a few weeks to go until Christmas, Cole’s mood dives from jolly to jaded. But instead of sitting at home alone and feeling sorry for himself, he goes to his favorite bar, McGregor’s, for a pint and some company.
The moment Owen McGregor sets eyes on Cole, he knows there’s something wrong. So he takes it upon himself to ensure that Cole has a happy holiday: twelve outings for the twelve days before Christmas. Even if he can’t quite think up twelve activities that don’t involve getting the forlorn hunk into his bed.
With each outing they take together, Cole realizes that the love he thought he’d shared with his ex was less than perfect. And that Owen might prove to be more than just his rebound remedy.
