Guest Post and Giveaway: Don’t Judge by A.E. Via

Dont-Judge-CustomDesign-JayAheer2015-banner2

Wow! I can’t thank Lisa enough for hosting me once again on The Novel Approach. This time I’m back with a new installment to the best-selling series Nothing Special, entitled Don’t Judge. It’s an enemies-to-lovers story, but it’s far from typical. I don’t want to give you details on exactly how it’s different, I’d prefer that you read it for yourself. But, I promise you that you’ll laugh out loud, cry, cringe, and even bite your nails as the sexual tension climbs to an unbelievable high.

I, of course, had to throw in the fan favorites: God, Day, Syn, Furi, the dueling duo, Ruxs and Green, and the sweet love birds, Curtis and Gen. Catch up on the crew and fall just as hard for Judge and Michaels in their story.

Hope you enjoy it!!

Blurb: Detective Austin Michaels didn’t think life could get any better after he was accepted into the most notorious narcotics task force on the East Coast, headed up by two of the baddest’ Lieutenants with the Atlanta Police Department – Cashel Godfrey and Leonidis Day.

Michaels knew he would fit right in as the team’s sniper, having received his fair share of commendations for marksmanship. He was just as badass as the rest of the twenty brothers that made up their team. But when Michaels lets their prime suspect get away from a huge bust with over a quarter of a million dollars in drugs, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make it right.

Left with no other options, God chooses to bring in outside help, calling on his long-time friend and bounty hunter, Judge Josephson.

Judge was considered one of the best trackers during his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. After retiring, he used those skills to become one of the most sought out fugitive trackers in the country. When Judge gets a call from his old friend needing his help, he quickly tells God, yes.

Still embarrassed, and intent to prove himself, Michaels immediately volunteers to partner up with Judge to get their suspect back quickly and quietly. Neither man wanted or needed a partner. But, after Judge and Michaels get on the road, the hate/lust relationship they quickly develop between them will either make them heroes… Or get them killed.

Excerpt: Judge carefully scanned each document that was relevant to tracking someone. He could care less about what laws the man had broken, it wasn’t his job to determine if he needed arresting or if he as guilty. His job was to bring him in. “I take it you want this guy alive.” That comment got him a lot of stares.

“If you don’t mind.” Day said between clinched teeth.

Judge looked around. “You do understand this guy is a murderer. You think he’s gonna roll out a welcome mat for me.”

He watched God rear back in his seat and run his hands through his long hair. “I know that, Judge. Just try. I’m not telling you to get yourself killed. But if you don’t have to take a kill shot, I’d appreciate it.”

“I make no promises.”

“Of course not.” Day said drily. “You just make sure to bring my sniper back alive and you won’t have any beef out of me.”

Judge snapped back up, pulling his cane out of his mouth. “Excuse me.”

God grimaced and glared at Day. “I hadn’t exactly told him yet.” He whispered but Judge heard him loud and clear.

“Told me what, God?” Judge stood. “And it better not be what I think it is.”

“Judge. I need this guy in custody and I need it done quietly. So I want one of my guys to go with -”

“Hell no.” Judge backed up. “I don’t need any help you know that.”

“He’s not gonna be there to help you, he’s there to keep things quiet.”

“You think I need a goddamn do-gooder-baby-sitter, telling me how to do my fuckin’ job?”

“You know damn well I’m not saying that. I need assurance that this will keep kept quiet and I also know you wouldn’t be bothered with giving me updates.

Judge scoffed. “Quiet. You think I haven’t heard of these two.” He pointed to the two men that were introduced as Ruxs and Green. Now that he had a face to go with the names he knew who to point to. “These guys are the epitome of loud noise and ruckus.”

“Because that’s their job.”

“Fuck no.” Judge growled.

“You owe me, goddamnit!” God stood and came around the table to square off with him.  Bookem stood and growled but didn’t attack. He’d never do that without command. God ignored the warning and stood directly in front of him. “Now, I’m asking for my favor. Are you going to refuse me, Judge?”

Son of a -. Judge gritted his teeth. God knew he’d never go back on his word. God gave him a few minutes to stew in his anger. All eyes were on him, waiting. Reluctantly he asked, “Who is he?”

“Detective Austin Michaels.” God replied. His voice and demeanor looked as if he was proud to present this guy.

Judge rolled his eyes when he saw Detective Michaels stand up. Of course it had to be him. The sexiest one of them all. Shit.  When the man came over to glare at him, Judge had to be sure not to show his surprise or amusement. The little fucker. Actually he wasn’t so little. He was tall and built. Compact muscles over smooth ivory skin. No doubt he was as macho and straight as an arrow, those kinds usually were. Judge was eager to see how the man handled himself.

Review:  So, I am all for sweet, romantic stories, but sometimes you just want something a little harder, a little dirtier, and A.E. Via is one of my go-to authors when this mood strikes.  I am really not sure anyone does alpha guys quite as well as this author.  There is also no doubt that if you have read anything by A.E. Via that even before you start it, you know it is going to be super-hot and sexy, and Don’t Judge is definitely that!

Michaels has watched the majority of his teammates pair off and fall in love, and being on the outside looking in at those relationships starts taking its toll.  He becomes depressed and angry and starts to isolate himself from the group.  He has the job he wants and loves, but wants the relationship that the others around him are enjoying.

Then there is Judge…who believes he is the complete opposite.  He wants nothing to do with a partner in any sense of the word, and is definitely not thrilled when he finds out Michaels is going to be tagging along with him while he tracks down their suspect.

Watching the way these two went after each other, and the way they seemed to hate each other with a passion but ended up turning into a passion of a different kind, was thrilling.  Seeing how Judge acted when they stopped off at his dad’s bar had me all mushy, and I just knew there was a sweet/soft center to all of that hardness.

I think one of the biggest reasons I have enjoyed each book in this series even more than the last is the incredible way that A.E. Via weaves the previous characters into the current story, so you don’t just get a new couple to fall in love with, but you feel like you are getting updates on all of your old loves at the same time.

Looking forward to even more to come from these guys!

Review: Whoa… A.E. Via’s Defined by Deceit had my emotions all over the place. This book had me looking inward, at myself and my own belief system, and it took me a couple of days just to digest what I’d read. This was no light, fluffy read!

Llewellyn and Moss thought themselves in love and were making plans to attend the same college together. But, with Moss’s reluctance to come out because of the repercussions he feared from his family, Llewellyn thought it best that they break up. When Moss begs for one last time with Llewellyn, what happens afterward is a major FUBAR! I so badly wanted to kick Moss’s fanny for doing what he did to Llewellyn. He not only threw Llewellyn under the bus, he backed up over him a few times with it. What Moss did was unforgivable! You just don’t do that…to anyone!

As for Llewellyn, knowing the truth, my heart went out to him for his suffering. I give major KUDOS to Shane & Ms. Pat for seeing beyond the label. I’m sorry but if someone like Llewellyn had come into my town, I’d be more than a little reluctant to extend a helping hand. I wouldn’t deny him a livelihood like the rest of the town tried to do, but I wouldn’t be inviting him over for dinner either. This is where my belief system was challenged. That kind of trust is beyond me.

Out of all the books I’ve read by Ms. Via, Defined by Deceit is by far the best! And I highly recommend it if your heart can stand all the angst, and the subject matter.

Excerpt: “You know the sheriff was talking about me, right?” Llew’s voice was so deep and gruff, probably due in part to the nervousness that had overtaken him, but most of it was just the man’s timbre. It made Shane pause.

Shane had to clear his own throat. “Yes, Llewellyn.”

Finally, Llew looked in his eyes. “You can call me Llew.”

“Is that what everyone else calls you?” Shane smiled.

“Yes.”

“Well I have to do something that sets me apart from the rest.” Shane shrugged. “So, where you staying, Llewell?”

He thought he saw a faint smile on Llew’s face, but the alley was dark. He hoped he could get Llewellyn to trust him; he was going to need a friend.

“I’m staying at Ms. Pat’s. I rent a room there. At least I did,” Llew said sadly.

“Come on, let’s go.” Shane nodded his head towards the entrance of the alley, and Llew fell in step with him. He loved how tall Llew was beside him. Shane was just a little over six feet, but Llew had to be six four or six five. He could climb this man like the strong oak tree that he was. “So, you like the room?”

“Um. Yeah. It’s real nice. Why?” Llew looked down at him, and Shane’s stomach did that fluttering thing that happened whenever that intense gaze was on him.

“Well, I built it, so I was just wondering,” Shane said, teasingly.

“You do good work, Shane.”

Shane wanted to stop right where they were and breakdance on the sidewalk. He loved the way his name sounded in that deep tone. He could listen to Llew talk all day and night… especially at night. “Thank you,” he whispered.

Meet Carrie!

TNA_Signature_CarrieHello, everyone, my name is Carrie!  I am a mom to three wonderful college boys – 2 already there and one beginning in the fall. We are a bicoastal family with 2 kids on the east coast and home central being in Seattle. Don’t get me wrong – I am a southern girl. I grew up with formal dinners every Sunday after church, and sweet tea. I learned good posture with Emily Post’s Book of Etiquette on my head, quite literally. So what am I doing in Seattle? No clue. I can say that I love books like my grandmother loved her gardening club. I read. A lot. I tend to have a voracious appetite for books, which can get expensive since I was taught to speed read in third grade and I have never looked back. As such, I love it when a book makes me pause – slaps me mid sentence, and says slow down and enjoy me – let me tell you a story…

I want to start writing about and sharing those books with you. I will read just about anything but gravitate towards romance and mystery, with a little erotic sci-fi thrown in for good measure. If you come by my house, I will make you a mimosa and we can talk books – I can’t wait!

Title: Here Comes Trouble

Author: A.E. Via

Publisher: Self-Published

At a Glance: Starts a bit slow, but picked up and then left me wanting more

Blurb: Detectives Mark Ruxsberg and Chris Green are very good at their jobs. Being the enforcers for God and Day’s notorious Atlanta PD Narcotics Task Force causes the crazy duo to get into more trouble than they can often get out of. The pair never misses out on an opportunity to drive their Lieutenants crazy with their dangerous, reckless, and costly stunts, landing them in the hot seat in front God… often.

Ruxs and Green love their jobs and they don’t mind the very demanding schedule that leaves them little time for socializing or dating. It was fine with them, they enjoyed hanging out with each other anyway.

However, most of the men in their close circle of friends and colleagues are pairing off and settling down. God has Day, Ro has Johnson, and their Sergeant Syn has Furious.

For the past several years, Ruxs has only sought out the advice and company of one person, his partner and best friend Green, and vice versa. Both of these alpha males are presumed straight, but neither can deny the heat that’s building in their once ‘just friends’ relationship.

Review: First off, I just want to say how much I love the cover of Here Comes Trouble. Secondly, A.E. Via is a new-to-me author. When I picked up this book for review and then discovered there were two other books in the series before this one, well, personally I’m not one who likes to read a book out of order, so I found and downloaded the other two and read them first. While Here Comes Trouble could technically be read as a standalone, I found that I enjoyed it more after reading Nothing Special and Embracing His Syn, so I was more familiar with the characters involved.

The romance between Ruxs and Green started off slowly, as friends and partners at work, but all it took was a nudge to take it one step further. That nudge being that ever since Ruxs spent the night at God’s and Day’s place, overhearing the two lovers making out upstairs, Ruxs had started to have guilty fantasies about his partner, Green. But, unbeknownst to Ruxs, Green had been with men before. He just never really acted on it once he was promted to God’s team.

As the two are dancing around each other, there are a couple of interesting developments in the storyline, apart from the relationship between Ruxs and Green, such as Ruxs’ relationship with his alcoholic, drug addicted mother. The woman really was a bitch, and there were a couple of times I just wished Ruxs would’ve just told her so and quit being so nice. Not to mention the need for Ruxs to attend a few Al-Anon meetings, because his mother really was a lost cause.

Then there was Curtis, who I was first introduce too in Nothing Special. I really enjoyed reading about what happened to this young man after God let him go after the store robbery. It seems like there may be a sequel with his story…maybe?

All in all, I really enjoyed Here Comes Trouble. Even though it started off a bit slowly, it wasn’t long after, when Ruxs and Green realized their attraction to each other, that it picked up. There were a couple of parts that had me barking out a laugh or two, too, especially during Ruxs’ first time.

I’m so looking forward to reading more from this series!

Title: Nothing Special

Author: A.E. Via

Publisher: Amira Press

Pages/Word Count: 345 Pages

Rating: 4 Stars

Blurb: Cashel Godfrey is big, tattooed, and angry, so people typically keep their distance. Fresh out of the police academy no one is looking to partner with the six foot four beast. When Cashel scanned the orientation room, he wasn’t expecting sexy hazel eyes to be locked onto him. Eyes of the gorgeous Leonidis Day.

Leonidis is charming, witty, hilariously sarcastic, and the only one that can make Cashel smile. He’s an out and badass detective, but when Cashel saves his life in a raid that turns deadly, he sees something in the big man that no one else does…something special.

Warning: Two sexy narcotics detectives. One with a serious hot spot for big gun-toting men, the other that yields a cannon; so be ready for the obscene sexual bang when these two come together.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Review: We’ll clear up one thing that has been mentioned about Nothing Special; it has editing issues. The author is aware of them and has gone to great lengths to see that anything she releases to the public in the future will be much improved. I am going to review it based solely on the content. That said, this was a good book! A.E. Via writes sex scenes that burn your fingertips. And Cashel “Cash” Godfrey and Leonides “Leo” Day have a whole lot of sex. They are most often referred to as “God and Day”. The best cop/lover pairing since, (insert name of your personal favorite couple here). There are too many really great ones for me to choose from.

God is huge and gorgeous, reserved, quiet and assumed straight. Until he’s not. Day is sarcastic and funny and seems to be the only one who makes God smile. He is also out and proud from the day he graduates the police academy. Together they are the most successful narcotic detectives in Atlanta. Picture personalities like Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys, if they were gay. And white. That’s a movie Hollywood needs to make. I don’t care what color they are, we need some sexy gay detectives who… wait, where was I?

Yeah. God and Day are promoted over and over, their unspoken communication making them a better team than any other. Things all change the day that God saves Day’s life. There is a huge bust scheduled, and things go sideways fast. Then Day thinks he may see God looking at him differently. He realizes that God has never had a girlfriend in the five years they have know each other. Then God makes the drunken phone call to Day in the middle of the night.

The evolution of their relationship from friends and work partners to lovers and life partners is so seamlessly written it feels like nothing changed except the addition of the aforementioned frequent and hot sex. No matter how close they get or how much they care about or love each other, though, God won’t tell Day about his life before they met. All Day know is that God has a mom and brother living in Atlanta for whom he does some home repairs.

Day’s family is an open book to God, and they have met and spent time together over the years. While Day knows that God has a tense relationship with his mom and brother, he has no idea what that really means until God gets deathly ill and can’t be left alone. Day inadvertently triggers a series of events that will tear apart a couple and release the secrets God has been keeping from Day and his own family for over a decade.

It was heart-breaking to see a larger-than-life character brought literally to his knees. I cried and yelled at God’s brother and at God himself. When will men (okay, some women, too) learn that the third most important use of the human mouth is COMMUNICATION???? People don’t have the ability to read minds.

As usually happens in these MM erotic romance novels we can’t seem to stop reading, the MC is forced to confront his secrets and deal with the consequences. This is always painful, but you know, and they eventually realize that it would have been so much less traumatic if they had just done it years ago. But then the read wouldn’t have been so much fun for us, now would it have?

I don’t believe that there’s Nothing Special about this book or these men. I would love to read more about them, and I am happy to recommend that you do the same.

M/M/M GAY EROTIC CONTEMPORARY
WORD COUNT – 78,200
Release Date: February 07, 2014

Blurb:

World renowned chef Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career. Right before he’s to leave for Paris to work alongside his idol, a horrific car accident leaves him completely blind.

His female fiancé leaves him in a state of desperation and depression. He pines for love, companionship, and so happens to find it in the form of his very sexy neighbor. Sexy male neighbor, Dr. Rickson ‘Ric’ Edwards.

Prescott’s not gay – at least he never considered himself gay – until Ric saves him from a date, gone terribly wrong. The two neighbors hit it off quickly and waste no time exploring and learning each other. Things are great until Ric begins to have his doubts about meeting Prescott’s many wants.
When Ric insist he and Prescott take a breather, Pres finds himself lonely and lacking again. Enter, male escort and aspiring chef, Blair McKenzie to fill the void.

In the meantime, Ric works on his issues that prohibits him from displaying the love he knows he has for Prescott. When Ric is finally ready and returns to claim Prescott he’s not sure that Pres can let go of the sexy, southern, hotness that is Blair McKenzie. After Ric has his own personal encounter with the sinfully sexy man, he can’t help but become entranced and crave more as well.

Pres soon realizes that there’s no need to choose between his two men, because when all three of them finally come together – grab a cold drink – the heat is going to go all the way up!

This is not your typical gay ménage romance. Everyone is not happy, skipping along, and loving life. These men are at each other’s throats. They live completely separate lives; fuss, cuss, and fight until they all realize exactly what the problem is…too damn much sexual tension.

Excerpt:

Ric leaned his head back against the elevator paneling and watched the numbers light up all the way to floor ten before his eyes drifted shut for the rest of the way. When the doors opened, he came face-to-face with Prescott’s Texan.

Fuck me.

Instead of the gorgeous prick getting on the elevator and leaving, the cocky bastard took a couple steps back and leaned against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway and stared openly at him as if he hadn’t a care in the world. His hazel eyes scanned Ric up and down, taking in his disheveled, stressed-out appearance.

“Do you have a fucking problem?” Ric growled, refusing to pretend to be cordial to the man even though he was a complete stranger and had done absolutely nothing to him.

The man had the nerve to smirk at him and shake his head as if pitying Ric, or perhaps throwing it in Ric’s face that he’d definitely had a better night than he had. Ric did try to hide his anger at knowing the man had slept with his Pres. Why the hell else would he be leaving at five in the damn morning? Unless he delivered newspapers or milk, he had absolutely no reason to be on this floor this time of morning. Bastard.

“No, I don’t have a problem,” he drawled slowly, making sure to put extra enunciation on the “I” part of his sentence. “But, obviously, you do. Or else you wouldn’t be scowling at me for no reason.”

“Fuck you,” Ric snarled, stepping just a little closer. He wanted to tear the man’s lips off for talking with that accent. Then he wanted to rip his hands off for daring to touch his Prescott. The man’s probably a male gold digger.

“Did you enjoy taking advantage of Prescott? Did you get what you came for?” Ric growled like a rabid animal three inches away from the man’s face, but he’d be damned if the asshole didn’t even flinch at his showcase of fury. No reaction whatsoever.

The Texan had one hand casually tucked in his jeans pocket, kicking back one side of his stylish blazer, while he lazily rubbed his other hand over his taut chest and washboard abs that showed through the thin material of his untucked dress shirt. Ric hated to admit it, but the man looked well fucked, and he wore it well.

“How could you do that to someone like him?” Ric fumed, and it took everything in him to control his rage.

If I hit him, no one would know. There’s no one around, no witnesses. It’d be his word against mine.
“I knew I’d peg you in less than five minutes.” The man spoke with one dark brown eyebrow cocked up. He ran his fingers through his bed-tousled dark brown hair and let out an exasperated breath.

“Excuse me?” Ric blinked.

“Now I know why you were too stupid to hold on to Prescott Vaughan. You were too busy feeling sorry for him. Instead of you seeing a brilliant man, a world-renowned, accomplished chef who happens to be one of the most talented men to ever set foot in a kitchen, you see a needy, helpless man. Ahhh. Now it makes perfect sense.”

“Don’t try to act like you know me because you don’t,” Ric growled, still trying to be mindful they were in the hallway of the floor that he lived on.

The Texan pushed off the wall and closed the few inches between them. His six feet, two inches of height had him eye to eye with Ric, and the man showed no fear. His handsome face was now a mask of furious anger.

“I saw you treat him like shit on the bottom of your shoes last night. I watched him beg you for five fuckin’ minutes of your time, and you spat in his face. Now, you have the audacity to say I’m mistreating him? Fuck you,” he snarled right back at Ric.

Just as fast as the man’s anger came, it disappeared, and he composed himself to reveal that smirk that Ric selfishly rejoiced Pres couldn’t see, because it was sexy as fuck…and the man knew it.

Ric watched his competition push the elevator button as he rubbed his hand over his morning stubble before speaking again. “You know what they say, don’t you, Doc? One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and Prescott Vaughan is definitely a rare, precious treasure.”

The Texan inched in even closer, which surprised the hell out of Ric since they were practically nose to nose. Ric was smacked in the face with a faint soap-and-water fragrance that made his eyelids flutter and his own dick jerk to life. Ric’s half-lidded eyes were riveted to the Texan’s plush lips as he leaned in and whispered directly into Ric’s open mouth.

“If you don’t pull your head out of your ass and claim Prescott Vaughan like he wants, I won’t stop until I’ve fucked the sexy strawberry ten ways to Sunday and there’s not a single trace of your existence left in his mind, because with or without you, he needs love, and I was the one there last night to lick his sweet tears when you walked away.”

The elevator doors opened at his final words, and the smooth Texan took a few graceful steps backward into the elevator and gave Ric a sexy wink right before the doors closed.

Fucking asshole, Ric thought.

“Blue Moon: Too Good to Be True”? – A.E. Via Says So, And She Wants To Give You A Chance To Win!

Hello Readers!

Thank you so much for stopping by The Novel Approach to hear about my debut bestselling M/M erotic romance novel Blue Moon: Too Good To Be True. I am almost to the end of my blog tour and I’ve heard such wonderful responses to the story. For my first book ever written, it’s truly fascinating to know that I’ve entertained another reader, after being an avid M/M romance reader myself.
I’ve heard some pretty interesting reviews regarding my characters. I don’t want to give anything away if you haven’t picked up the book yet, but my men are pretty badass. So for those of you that don’t know…here’s a very condensed introduction of my main characters:

Angel DeLucca – Sexy-as-sin popular club owner, that everyone – male and female wants a piece of. Mid-thirties, amazing physique, and long silky jet-black hair that stops just above his delectable ass. However, don’t let the beautiful hair fool you. Angel’s also a martial arts expert that was trained by his father and uncles that are all Navy Seals.

Maximus Strong – All American Hero firefighter

Ryker Strong – Successful accounting business owner and suave-to-a-fault.

Sebastian ‘Bass’ Bagatelli –Retired Special Forces Army Ranger. He’s Angel’s Chief of Security and is also a Master Dom. Bass is 6’4, full of brawn, muscles, and a warm soul.

Those are my four main characters. My men are all alphas, they are smart, strong, and not afraid to go after what they want…what they all need. LOVE.

You will also meet a colorful cast of co-characters: Max’s best friend Pierce (undercover DEA missions specialist), The Beastmasters (Navy Seals Team): Angel’s Father (Shot), Hawk, Shade, Viper, Call, Lucky, Toad. FBI Special Agent Fox.

In some of the reviews that I’ve read, I’ve been told that it’s farfetched for these men to be such alphas and to be gay. Max is a firefighter, Ryker is an executive, Bass is a retired Army Ranger. Especially the Seals Team (they are not all gay) but even the other team members being tolerant of their teammates lifestyle is not reality.

Actually it is. I actually find it offensive for someone to think and voice those gay men can’t hold these types of occupations. I’m surprised to find these types of M/M or gay romance readers are out there. All gay or M/M does not have to be about twinks and feminine acting men. I’ve been an avid M/M reader for almost ten years, and I’ve read a ton of different characters, and have enjoyed them too. But I’ve always found that I enjoyed reading about men that behaved and loved like men…not behaved like a women. While I am a new writer I hope that many of you will continue to enjoy my characters. I have much more coming! I love M/M romance and I will always do my best to develop diverse and complex characters…I hope you will enjoy.

Blurb Blue Moon: Too Good To Be True:

Angel DeLucca is one of the most sought after gay bachelors in Virginia Beach. He’s smart successful, lethal, and more than anything he’s drop dead gorgeous. Angel has his pick of the men that come to his popular Oceanfront night club, but lately the one night stands haven’t been enough…Angel craves something deeper. When a one night hook-up goes terribly wrong, Angel comes into contact with the breathtaking Maximus (Max) Strong.

Max is a firefighter for the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Max is beautiful, charming, and also very straight. One meeting with the mysteriously, sexy Angel DeLucca and a whiff of that silky, jet black hair, Max finds himself questioning everything he’s known to be true about himself. Max tries desperately to understand the new feelings he has for another man and turns to his gay, older brother…Ryker.

Ryker has always been Max’s protector and his guide their entire lives, which has left him feeling uncared for and alone to handle his own life’s problems. Ryker craves to be taken care of, he craves the attention and praise of a Master. No one knows the dark desires within him until Angel’s Chief of Security, Sebastian ‘Bass’ Bagatelli, shatters that secret with their first intense encounter.

How will Angel win the heart of the straight firefighter that was tailor-made just for him? Will Max be able to continue denying his feelings for another man? Can Ryker and Bass get through their personal issues to take and receive what they both need from each other? Or will they each give up on a happiness that appears too good to be true?

These men’s stories will unravel in a whirlwind of romance, bdsm, revelations, lots of action and very hot sex, co-starring very entertaining supporting characters.

What comes next from A. E. Via?:

My next novel to be released is a gay male ménage erotic contemporary romance entitled You Can See Me. I am in the final round of edits and it will hopefully be to readers soon. I’ll be doing some advanced copy giveaways in the next couple of weeks!

Work in Progress:

The book I’m writing right now (it’s untitled) is coming through me every day. It’s about two detectives that are pretty bad ass together. One is openly gay and the other doesn’t label himself, but while he’s always been attracted to women he begins to see his partner differently after he saves his life. It’s stirring around in the special world in my mind. Each day I just sit down and start typing away and I won’t stop until it’s complete.

And that sees us through another week. Until next time, happy reading!

We’ll leave you today with a little note from the ever delightful A.J. Corza:

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§

Hi guys *waves all around*,

Just a quick note this week to say that I am going to be going on hiatus until the New Year. I know, I know, I haven’t been here very long, but rest assured it’s not so much a vacation as just swamped with real life issues at the moment. School finals, work requests (keep those coming, though, please :D), and the reemergence of a father whom I’ve not spoken to in over 10 years has all pretty much culminated with head falling off.

Well, not yet, but that’s why the break—so my head actually does NOT fall off.

I just felt that right now I can’t do justice to my reviews or to the TNA site, and that is not fair to everyone else on the site or our lovely web mistress, Lisa.

Plus, being a bit blunt, I didn’t want the reviews to just suck balls, which I think they would have.

All that said however, PLEASE send me covers that you love if you see them, with the artist’s name if you can find it, or just covers you would like me to review. I’m going to stockpile some reviews for the New Year, and I’d love to include any faves or scary covers you ‘re especially fond of.

I promise I WILL be back!

In the meantime, I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season no matter where you are and that the New Year finds you looking forward to new and exciting ventures. Or reviews in my case!

Happy Holidays and may the good books be with you!

A.J.
